Surprise
As a dedicated breeder with over 13 years of experience, I have always poured my heart into the care and well-being of every dog I raise. I take every possible precaution to ensure the safety and intentionality of each breeding.
That said, we recently had a very unexpected surprise. Just last week, we noticed our sweet girl Shea was gaining a bit of weight. Shea is a beloved golden girl we kept from a past pairing between Ivory and Mac. After a precautionary X-ray, we discovered she was expecting — something we had not anticipated at all.
We are extremely careful during our girls’ heat cycles and had no indication that a breeding had occurred, so this came as a complete shock. However, today Shea went into labor and delivered a healthy litter of Golden Mountain puppies.
While this litter was unplanned, these puppies will receive the same exceptional care and attention that all of our puppies do. They will be dewormed, receive their first vaccinations, be vet-checked, and microchipped before going to their new homes. The sire is fully health-tested, and while Shea’s testing is still in progress, both of her parents are health-tested and cleared.
